Terms and Conditions
Bookings
The application for a show should be received by us at least 1 month before the show date. The application for a workshop should be received by us at least 3 weeks before the workshop date. After receiving the application, we will send a no-obligation quote. The agreement tho the quote should be sent at least 2 weeks before the show/workshop date per email, through digital or written and scanned signature.
Cancellation
After signing the quote, a written notification is needed to be able to cancel by the client. Cancellation is free of charge until 1 week before workshop dates and 2 weeks before showdates. After this period 50% of the quotation amount excluding travel expenses will be charged.
Unforeseen circumstances
In case a show cannot take place due to reasons from Fire & Glow Entertainment or serious force majeure, such as illness, government instruction or public transport strikes, the agreement is cancelled without extra charge.
In the case of a show outside, we apply rules for the weather circumstances at which we will not perform. In such a case, 50% of the quotation amount will be charged, unless the show can be moved to another date withing 2 weeks after the original date in agreement with both parties.
The weather circumstances at which the show will be cancelled are:

Temperatures below -1°C and above 35°C

Wind force 4 bft or more

Heavy rain (more than drizzle) and any other form of precipitation including glazed frost

Thunderstorms

If an unsafe situation arises by the audience, we are entitled to immediately stop the performance, in which case full agreed price is still to be paid.
Liability
The client is responsible for the needed permits. If the performance cannot take place because of a lack of such permits, we are forced to cancel and charge the full agreed price.
Fire & Glow Entertainment can never be held accountable for physical or material damages. We are only liable in case of clear intent or gross negligence.
In case our materials have been intentionally damaged or stolen, we will charge for the compensation.
Fire safety
For the use of fire materials the direct surroundings of the performance must meet specific conditions.
In case of an outdoor show:

The performance area has a flat surface of at least 5 by 5 meters and a height of 4 meters.

No flammable materials/objects must be present in the direct vicinity.

The distance from the edge of the performance area to the audience has to be at least 2 meters.
In case of an indoor show:

All safety measures for an outdoor show apply.

The show can only take place in a spaceous and well-ventilated room/hall.

A direct escape route outside is needed from the performance room.

It needs to be considered that (hot) oil splatter can end up on the floor and walls. This is inevitable.

A separation between the performance area and the audience must be present by for example difference in height level or a fence barriers.

Fire and smoke detectors must be turned of temporarily.
We will always do a safety assessment of the perfomance area the day of the show. If adjustments are needed, they will be have to be applied before the start of the show. If the needed adjustment cannot be made in time, we will have to cancel the show. We, at all times, have the right to cancel a show when the safety conditions have not been met or we evaluate the area as insufficient. When a show has to be cancelled due to safety reasons, full price will be charged.
Refunds
Refunds are never possible when the show or workshop has not (completely) lived up to the clients expectations.
Recordings
Photo- and videorecordings are permitted, if when publically shared, our company name "Fire & Glow Entertainment" is clearly mentioned.
